Crossroads

Over the last dozen or so years I’ve come to realize that trials are crossroads in life.  Though you may be powerless to change the path you have been asked to bear, you have full freedom to choose how it will affect you emotionally and spiritually.  You can either curse God and die or you can humbly submit to your Father’s will.  One path will lead to darkness, anger and isolation while the other leads to peace, comfort, a realization of the many blessing you are so graciously given and a softening of your heart to where you are more able to sympathize with others’ burdens and more desirous to help, comfort and mourn with them.  It can also give you a glimpse into the heart of our Savior and lead to greater love and charity for your fellow man and give you a greater desire to follow Him.  I'm thankful for the crossroads I've been blessed with and the paths I've chosen.

Dear Jared, I want to express my love, admiration and my prayers for you and your family.

I have read Krista's blog from the start. My sweet 15 year old son and she battled cancer together. He went home November 15, 2009. I followed Krista sporadically thru my grief.

My oldest son left us also, December 11 (they say 10th), 2010 to join his brother and await us. I had not checked in on her blog since then.

I came here today ready to "see" how Krista was doing and am saddened for your sweet family to learn that you are left here to endure on without your sweetheart and mommy.

My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you all for the grief that I know you are wading through.

You are admirable and strong, much more so than I. I am afraid that I have failed this trial miserably even tho I too know the plan of salvation and that I am not alone. You, dear Jared, have blessed me tonight.
